eSIM for Montserrat

Signal gets weaker as you climb into the hills or head toward the southern edge near the Soufrière Hills volcano. On the Centre Hills trails and viewpoints over the Plymouth Exclusion Zone you may drop to a slow connection or none at all. Download your maps and any tour details before you set off, since the volcano observatory area and the southern lookouts are not where you want to rely on a live signal.

On the beaches, Rendezvous Bay and Little Bay both get a usable signal near the shore. The more remote the cove, the more likely the bars drop, so message anyone you need to before you wander off.

Keep an eye on your balance through the eSIM app or your account page. If you started with the 1 GB for 1 day plan and you are staying longer, you can buy another day pack or move up to the 3 GB for 15 days plan without swapping anything physical. The new plan loads onto the same eSIM.

A few habits stretch your data. Use the free WiFi at cafes, restaurants, and your accommodation for big jobs like backing up photos or video calls home. Turn off automatic app updates and cloud photo sync over mobile data. These small steps mean even the 1 GB pack at $7.84 lasts longer than you would think on a quiet island day.

As your trip winds down, check how much data is left. The 3 GB for 15 days plan usually has room to spare at the end of a week, which is useful for the journey back through Antigua when you may want to check ferry times, flight status, or your boarding pass.
