Around busy spots like the Tel Aviv beach promenade, the Jaffa old port, the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem, and the malls in Haifa, you should see top speeds. Speed can dip a little in crowded places at peak times, like a packed market on a Friday, but it stays usable. For city based trips, even our smaller plans feel quick.

Israel is small, but parts of it are open desert and rocky hills, and that is where coverage thins out. At the Dead Sea resorts near Ein Bokek you will usually get 4G, but do not expect full 5G. The cliffs and low ground slow things down.

Set up the eSIM at home on your normal WiFi, a day or two before your flight. After you buy, you get a QR code by email. On an iPhone open Settings, then Cellular, then Add eSIM, and scan the code. On most Android phones open Settings, then Network, then add a SIM or eSIM, and scan it. The plan installs but does not start using data yet.
