eSIM for Dominica

An eSIM is a SIM card built into your phone. Instead of putting in a small plastic card, you install a digital profile and your phone connects to a local network. In Dominica that network is FLOW, one of the two main carriers on the island.

FLOW coverage is strongest in Roseau, the capital, and in Portsmouth in the north. The coastal road that links the main towns generally holds a steady 4G signal, so getting around the populated parts of the island is fine.

The weak spots are the interior. Dominica is mostly rainforest and mountains, and deep trails like the route to the Boiling Lake or sections of Morne Trois Pitons National Park can lose signal completely. Download your offline maps before you head into the forest, and do not count on data while you are deep inside it.
