Plans temporarily unavailable

Our network partner for Palestine is under maintenance, so we have paused sales here rather than sell a plan we cannot stand behind. We are completing work with an additional operator and plans will return to this page as soon as that is live.

Staying connected in Bethlehem and Ramallah without a MegaEsim plan

We do not sell a plan for Palestine right now, and none of our regional plans cover it, so this page cannot get you online there today. The local networks are Jawwal and Ooredoo Palestine, which used to trade as Wataniya Mobile. Spectrum has long been limited for both, and 3G only reached the West Bank in 2018.

01 Is there a Palestine plan on this page?

No. We do not sell a plan for Palestine at the moment, and no regional plan in our range covers it, so none of our plans will give you data there.

Before planning travel, check your government's current advice for the region, which changes and should always be your first source.

02 Which networks serve the territories

The Palestinian market is served by Jawwal, part of the Paltel group, and Ooredoo Palestine, which used to trade as Wataniya Mobile. Under the Oslo Accords, both need Israeli approval for the spectrum they use, and that has held back newer mobile technology. Jawwal only launched 3G in January 2018, and Gaza has stayed on 2G.

If your route links Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus and Jericho, save offline maps before you set off, including for the drives through the Jordan Valley.

03 What visitors should understand about coverage

If you are relying on your home SIM, ask your provider before you go which networks in the West Bank its roaming covers and what it charges there.

Plan for a connection that varies. Download offline maps for the whole area you will visit, save addresses in a form you can read without a connection, and confirm arrangements in advance where you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our Palestine eSIM.

No, not at the moment. We don't sell a plan for Palestine, and none of our regional plans cover it, so nothing on this site will get you online there today. The answers below cover the local networks, roaming and what to prepare.

Two Palestinian operators serve the market: Jawwal, part of the Paltel group, and Ooredoo Palestine, which entered in 2009 as the second provider. We have no plan on either of them. For data, check roaming on your home SIM before you travel.

Spectrum rules, above all. Under the Oslo Accords, Palestinian operators need Israeli approval for the frequencies they use, and that has held back newer mobile technology. Jawwal only started commercial 3G on 23 January 2018, and Gaza has stayed on 2G.
